WHAT DOES IT COST?

When I meet with a potential new client and their first question is what do I charge I know I am the wrong person for them to work with. The question they should ask is what will creative cost me? If the creative works then the cost shouldn't be an issue, but if it does't then it is going to cost you.

WHAT'S YOUR RATE?

Most new clients ask me what I charge per hour, which really tells them nothing about how I work or what it will really cost them. How efficient someone works to find a solution is what cost should be based on. And how good the solution works.

WHAT'S IT WORTH?

I ask new clients about their budget? Then we talk about the various options the budget will allow. My clients are all long term relationships and most projects I do for them aren't estimated. We understand each others costs and make adjustments as needed that even out over time.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Be honest about your budget and have clear expectations. Build a relationship based on great creative, and let the budget take care of itself.
